The Director of Information at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Gaza Strip called for increasing the flow of aid and protecting crews working in the humanitarian field in order to ensure the delivery of aid and the provision of basic services to all residents in the Strip.
Enas Hamdan said that humanitarian work crews cannot follow up and continue providing services and aid without these basic conditions being met, noting that UNRWA always tries to remember the basic demands in order to be able to provide services in the Gaza Strip.
She warned that what we are witnessing is further restrictions on the entry of relief aid despite the difficult and worsening conditions on all levels, environmentally, health-wise, and also food-wise.
In an interview with BBC Arabic, Hamdan indicated that experts are warning of the return of the hunger scenario that we previously witnessed in Gaza City, expressing her fear that hunger will actually occur in the central and southern regions, where there is great crowding and limited resources.
She emphasized that the main source of what the displaced need is the aid provided by UNRWA, along with some other institutions
