On Sunday, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) announced its intention to expand the scope of the rapid response project for the displaced in Yemen, which is suffering from one of the worst humanitarian and economic crises in the world.
The UNICEF mentioned that the rapid response mechanism project demonstrated the ability to provide rapid support to needy families in Yemen, and helped prevent the spread of diseases and epidemics, which is a source of great concern in the camps for the displaced.
"UNICEF aims to expand the scope of the project to include additional areas and newly displaced families," the report added.
The UNICEF Rapid Response Mechanism project, with the support of the Humanitarian Fund for Yemen of the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, is working to provide urgent assistance to those affected by the conflict.
The report noted that there is still much to be done to alleviate the burdens faced by the displaced, and this is a commitment on the part of UNICEF through its efforts to alleviate the burdens they suffer.
