United Nations experts have recently condemned the Israeli military's violent attacks against women and children in Gaza. They have expressed their concern over sexual violence and enforced disappearances, terming such actions 'unacceptable.'

In a statement, the seven special rapporteurs appointed by the UN Human Rights Council have expressed their dismay over the indiscriminate and disproportionate attacks on women and the denial of their fundamental human rights.

They have also cited reports of sexual assault and violence against women and girls, including those who have been detained by Israeli occupation forces.

Hamas, which controls Gaza, has been accused of systematically militarizing health facilities and civilian infrastructures, using the population as human shields. However, the experts have chosen to focus on the Israeli military's actions.
