UAE hotels host 16.1 million guests in first half of 2025

The UAE’s hotel sector welcomed more than 16.1 million guests in the first six months of 2025, marking a 5.5 per cent increase compared with the same period last year, according to Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism. This is reported by TV BRICS.

Speaking at the third meeting of the Hospitality Advisory Council, Al Marri highlighted the sector’s resilience and consistent growth, crediting the success to the country’s leadership and close cooperation between public and private stakeholders. He said the results confirm the UAE’s growing competitiveness as a regional and global tourism hub.

During the meeting, representatives of national and international hotel groups reviewed performance indicators and discussed new initiatives to enhance investment opportunities and further strengthen the sector.

Figures presented showed hotel nights in the first half of the year reached 56 million, up 7.3 per cent, with the average length of stay rising to 3.5 nights. The UAE currently has 1,243 hotel establishments offering more than 216,000 rooms.
