The United Arab Emirates has announced a ban on travel by its citizens to Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq, citing escalating regional developments, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs late Thursday.
The ministry said the decision was taken “in view of current developments in the region,” confirming that UAE nationals are prohibited from travelling to the three countries until further notice.
It also urged Emirati citizens already present in Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq to leave immediately and return to the UAE at the earliest opportunity.
Reaffirming its commitment to citizen safety abroad, the ministry stressed that it is closely monitoring the situation and called on nationals to comply with official advisories and instructions.
The statement added that UAE citizens in the affected countries should maintain contact with diplomatic authorities, describing the measures as precautionary steps aimed at ensuring the safety and security of Emirati nationals overseas.
