The UAE Fuel Price Follow-up Committee approved new fuel prices during August and approved an increase in fuel prices, Al-Bayan Emirati newspaper reported on Monday.
The price of a liter of “98 petrol” increased from 3 dirhams to 3.14 dirhams, equivalent to 14 fils, and the price of a liter of “private petrol” 95 increased from 2.89 dirhams to 3.02 dirhams, equivalent to 13 fils.
The price of "E Plus" also increased from 2.81 dirhams to 2.95 dirhams, equivalent to 14 fils, and the price of diesel from 2.76 dirhams to 2.95 dirhams, equivalent to 19 fils.
The UAE fuel price committee meets monthly to decide whether prices will increase or decrease.
