The premiere date for Egyptian actress Riham Abdel Ghafour's TV series "El Asly" has been unveiled.
The series is slated to debut on Sunday, February 12 on the "DMC" and "DMC Drama" TV channels and the "Watch It" streaming platform.
It also stars Manal Salama, Ahmed El Shamy, Ahmed Saeed Abdulghani, Youssef Othman, and others.
The series is scripted by Amin Gamal and directed by Ahmed Hassan.
It follows Fatima El Asly, who is trying to preserve her father’s money and sees that she is more entitled to it than anyone else and refuses to have it divided between her brothers, leading to bad blood.
On the other hand, Abdel Ghafour is reteaming up with actor Mohamed Mamdouh in the TV series "Al-Rashid", which is set to screen in Ramadan 2023 drama marathon.
The series consists of 15 episodes and arrives from director Mai Mamdouh.
"Al-Rashid" marks the second collaboration between Abdel Ghafour and Mamdouh after the 2017 TV series "La Totfe' Al Shams".
Abdel Ghafour can be seen in the TV series “Azmat Montasaf Al Omr” (Middle Age Crisis), starring Karim Fahmy.
Abdel Ghafour, born on September 6, 1978, is the daughter of famous Egyptian actor Ashraf Abdel Ghafour.
The actress played the leading female role with Muhammad Heneidy and Ashraf Abdul Baky in the film “Saaheb Sahbo – Best friends”.
She became very popular for her delicateness and distinctiveness, which was noticed in her TV and cinema roles.
Abdel Ghafour participated in many TV series like “Al-aaela wal-naas" (Family and people), “Hadeeth al-sabaah wal-massaa" (Day and night talk) and “Zizinia" (a neighborhood in Alexandria).
In cinema, she participated in “Mallaaky Eskendereyya" (Privé Alexandria), "Kaan yowm hobbak" (The day of your love), “Gaay fel-sareea" (I’m coming!) and “Bel-Araby Cinderella" (Cinderella in Arabic).
Abdel Ghafour also performed in the play “Hamlet” and co-worked with Yahia al-Fakharaany in “Al-malek Lear" (King Lear).
