The Turkish Ambassador to Egypt H. E. Salih Mutlu Şen has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Majed Farag, a prominent member of Egypt’s cultural and social circles.

In a heartfelt message shared on social media, the ambassador extended condolences to Farag’s family and loved ones.

“With great sadness and sorrow, I received the news of the death of Mr. Majed Farag, a cherished member of our circle of friends and acquaintances, this morning,” the ambassador wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

“It gives me some solace that I was able to speak with him two months ago during his illness,” he added.

Farag was widely known for his deep appreciation of Egypt’s royal heritage and his close connection to the legacy of the Muhammad Ali dynasty.

Şen extended special condolences to King Fuad II, the last reigning monarch of Egypt, noting Farag’s deep affection and respect for the royal family.

Farag’s death marks a significant loss to Egypt’s heritage community, where he was known not only for his personal warmth but also for his dedication to preserving historical memory and cultural ties.
