Multiple reports claimed the return of the 2001 star-studded TV series "Aelat Al-Haj Metwali" (Haj Metwali's Family) during the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon through "Awlad Al-Haj Metwali" (Children of Hajj Metwali).
The original series featured the Arab world's best stars such as Nour El-Sherif, Ghada Abdel Razek, Magda Zaki, Somaya El-Khashab, Ragaa El-Gedawy, and more.
The plot revolves around the wealthy, self-made Haj Metwali, who married 5 times: the first, Zubaida, for money, the second, Amina, for the influence of her family, the wealthy Nimatullah, Madiha, the tax official, and a fifth young doll named Olfa.

Is "Awlad Al-Haj Metwali" connected to "Aelat Al-Haj Metwali"?
In a statement, Wafaa Amer, a main cast member of the series, addressed this notion and affirmed that the project has no absolute relation to "Aelat Al-Haj Metwali".
Amer pointed out that the series will bring together a group of stars from the Arab world and will have a completely different plot.
“No one can fill the void of Mr. Nour Al-Sharif,” she stressed.
The series also features Nermine Elfeky, Edward, Samira Sedki, Mohamed Abdel-Gawad, Abeer Monir, Nermin Mohsen, Abdullah al-Amiri, and more.
"Awlad Al-Haj Metwali" deals with the sons of Al-Haj Metwali trying to preserve their father’s wealth.
