U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the Gaza Strip would be renamed the “Freedom Zone” following the relocation of its residents, revealing that some countries are ready to accept Palestinians from Gaza to spare them from “death and misery.”

Speaking at the White House alongside Israeli Prime Minister (PM) Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump said, “I want to see a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages. We are working on a new agreement regarding hostages and stopping the fighting. But I don’t understand why Israel gave up Gaza in the first place.”

Trump also emphasized the financial support the U.S. provides to Israel, saying, “We give Israel $4 billion annually,” and pledged to continue this aid.

He added that Gaza is “like a death trap,” describing it as an extremely dangerous place that would take years to rebuild. “I would like to see the war in Gaza end,” Trump said, “and we are doing everything we can to reach another ceasefire agreement.”
