The administration of US President Donald Trump announced the provision of "financial incentives" for government employees who wish to resign from their jobs.
The American channel (Alhurra) reported that the "deferred resignation" program will provide salaries for eight months for employees who submit their resignations before February 6. This offer was sent to employees via email, where those wishing to resign are asked to respond to the same email from their official accounts, adding the word "resignation."
The offer includes all civilian employees, with the exception of those working in the fields of immigration and national security and employees of the US Postal Service. The number of civilian employees in the US federal government is estimated at about 2.3 million employees, excluding postal employees.
Trump had issued a decision to stop federal grants and loans, yesterday, Tuesday, starting at five o'clock in the evening, Washington time.
