Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau described the murder of a Canadian Muslim family as a terrorist attack, Sputnik reported on Tuesday.

In a speech at the House of Commons, he said: "This was a terrorist attack, motivated by hatred, in the heart of one of our communities," adding: "We'll continue to fight hate online and offline ... (including) taking more action to dismantle far-right hate groups, like we did with the Proud Boys by adding them to Canada's terror listing."

On Sunday, a Canadian Muslim family was chased by a truck, the driver intended to hit the family members due to their religion.

The incident left behind 4 killed family members, while only one member is critically injured until now.

Canadian London city police accused the driver, Nathaniel Veltman, of four murder crimes over his latest action against Canadian Muslims.

Hours after the murder, Trudeau tweeted: "To the Muslim community in London and to Muslims across the country, know that we stand with you. Islamophobia has no place in any of our communities. This hate is insidious and despicable - and it must stop."

It is considered one of the most violent attacks against Muslims in Canada since 2017.
