The Egyptian midfielder Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet scored in Aston Villa's 1-2 loss against Wolves on Sunday.
Ruben Neves had put Wolves ahead when he received a well-played free-kick from the right-hand edge, where Neves met the ball firing it into the net from 18 yards in the 41st minute.
Jimenez doubled his side's lead in the 84th minute when he unleashed a left-foot shot from 20 yards to weaken Villa's hopes in the game.
Trezeguet scored his second Premier League goal when he fired a right-foot shot. Wolves now rank seventh with sixteen points, while Villa came in the 17th spot with eleven points. He managed to score his first Premier League goal versus Liverpool in the previous round.
On July 24, Aston Villa completed the signing of Trezeguet from Turkey’s Kasimpasa in a deal worth up to £8.75 million.
The 24-year-old midfielder played 71 games with Kasimpasa; he scored 25 goals and provided 18 assists. The former Al-Ahly Player will play alongside his fellow Ahmed El-Mohamady, who will play his third season with the Villans.
Noteworthy, Aston Villa’s midfielder praised Liverpool’s star Mohamed Salah, saying, “He always used to talk to me, and he would tell me that I should come here."
“We always talk together, when I was about to come to England I had other offers that were more significant, not in terms of the league, but more attractive financially,” he added.
