Trade Minister Honors Top 100 Companies in Egyptian Market

Neveen Gamea, Minister of Trade and Industry presented the 100 best performing companies in Egypt with honors at the Amwal Al Ghad Awards 2021, under the patronage of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

The top 100 firms have successfully adapted to the pandemic that revolutionized operation and development at all business and economic levels.

These companies were able to absorb the economic shocks and make the most of the economic reform program that protected the investment climate in the Egyptian market, and addressed the structural imbalances that the economy has suffered from for decades.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of several cabinet members as well as 300 executive leaders of major institutions and companies operating in the Egypt.

The list of honored financial institutions included a number of banks, namely the Housing and Development Bank, the Suez Canal Bank, the National Bank of Kuwait, Qatar National Bank, in addition to a number of investment banks, most notably, B Investment Holding Company, Tharwa Capital, and the Qalaa Holdings.

Among the companies honored are Talaat Mustafa Group, Fawry, Oriental Weavers, Alexandria container & Cargo handling company, Eastern Company, Mohandes Insurance Co., MM Group, Minapharm Pharmaceuticals, Ibn Sina Pharma, Speed ​​Medical Co., Egypt Kuwait Holding Co., Ramid Pharmaceutical, Canal for shipping, Raya Communications, and Abu Qir Fertilizers and Chemicals Company (AFC).

It is worth noting that the list of honorees this year included major categories, namely the best 100 companies listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange (EGX) in terms of performance, the 50 most influential women, the outstanding entrepreneurs, innovators with special needs, and the best institutions in the field of social responsibility and sustainable development.

This year's summit also saw achievement awards for personalities and companies that have achieved exceptional successes during the year, based on accurate research and statistics and transparency.

The summit is one of the major events that honors annually successful figures in all economic and social fields. Its first activities were launched in 2015 and are held annually under the patronage of the Prime Minister.
