“The Witcher” Season 2 New Footage Released

Netflix released new footage from the second season of the fantasy video game adaptation series “The Witcher".

The new footage featured the witcher Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill, battling a giant centipede, known as the Myriapod.

The monstrous insect has claws the size of an adult human male and proves to be too much for him, sending him flying into a protruding boulder.

The clip also featured the first look at Geralt casting the Quen sign, protective magic used by Witchers which forms a protective bubble around the caster.

“The Witcher” is centered around the witcher Geralt of Rivia, a mutated monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world in which people often prove more wicked than beasts.

Season two focuses on Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen.

He must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside, while the Continent’s kings, elves, humans, and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls.

The new season will also feature Kim Bodnia, Paul Bullion, Adjoa Andoh, and Graham McTavish.

Season 2 of "The Witcher" will premiere on Netflix on December 17.
