The Past magazine published a photo report highlighting tourist attractions in The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).
The report covered several of the tourist and archaeological momentums GEM has to offer, describing it as one of the world's blockbuster museums.
It noted several archaeological momentums in GEM, including the hanging obelisk, Colossus of Ramesses II from Memphis, the Victory Column of Merenptah, Colossi of a Ptolemaic king and queen, and Colossus of Ramesses II from Tanis.
The article also reviewed the history of GEM, which was founded in 2002, with an expected completion date of around 2012.
The well-known magazine pointed out that the GEM will be a spectacular addition to Egypt’s attractions – when it finally opens. Built close to the Giza pyramids, when finished it will be one of the largest museums in the world."
