In celebration of Russian Culture Day, the Coordinating Council for Russian Expatriates in Egypt held an artistic celebration under the slogan "Together We Are Russia".

The stunning celebration witnessed the participation of Russian art groups from Cairo, Alexandria, and Hurghada, which contributed to strengthening Egyptian-Russian cultural ties.

Ludmila Salama, head of the Coordinating Council for Russian Expatriates in Egypt, expressed her extreme happiness with the great interest of the Russian community in Egypt in presenting the Russian culture to the Egyptian audience, who she described as "friends".

The celebration featured a series of Russian artistic shows by Russian folk art troupes composed of members of the Russian community in Egypt, where they presented a number of Russian folk-dance performances and songs that reflected the rituals of the Russian people’s celebration of this occasion, she added.

In the same connection, Salama noted that the celebration not only presented the various Russian arts and fashions but also presented Russian cuisine and popular traditional Russian foods.

For his part, Murad Gatin, Director of the Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt, indicated that the celebration showcased the cultural talents of the Russian community in singing and dancing, noting that they can perform at a high level and represent Russian culture very well.

Also, Gatin stressed that the Russian House is always open for the members of the Russian community to provide their cultural activities.
