Football Association officials showed flexibility in the file of granting the African license to Zamalek Club, to participate in the Confederation Championship next season, in light of the debts that the White Club suffers from, especially since the standards specified in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) licensing regulations require the clubs not to have late dues. Payment towards former or current players and coaches.

The Football Association welcomes amicable solutions so that public opinion is not prepared to believe that Al-Jabaliyya is being stubborn against Zamalek. This was proven by the fact that they granted the White Club an additional period of one week, as it was supposed to pay by June 30, but it obtained KAF’s approval to extend the payment period until the fifth of next July, but On the condition that Zamalek pays part of the debt and obtains proof of this, which will help resolve the crisis, especially since Al-Gabalya’s acknowledgment of granting Zamalek the license to participate without paying the debt will expose him to penalties from CAF.

Football Association officials stressed to their counterparts in Zamalek the need to pay part of the debts they owe to former players and coaches, led by Moroccan Khaled Boutayeb, the former team striker, and assistants to Josevaldo Ferreira, the former coach of Zamalek, and the Portuguese Jaime Pacheco, the former coach of the team, in order to reach legal solutions, in a way that guarantees the integrity of the club. Obtaining a license and not objecting to the African Union.

Zamalek, for its part, informed Al-Jabaliya of its current inability to pay any debt. After that, White Club officials contacted Hani Abu Rida, former president of the Football Association, and asked him to intervene in the crisis, and the latter made contacts within CAF to find out the final position on resolving the crisis.

The list that Zamalek used confirms that the club has the right to renew its African license because Zamalek did not owe any debt to Khaled Bou Tayeb or anyone else until March 31, 2024, which is the date specified in the list, and a source explained to “Youm7” that Zamalek received a letter. By suspending the registration due to Khaled Boutayeb in the month of April, that is, after the specified date, and therefore, according to the regulations, Zamalek has the right to obtain the license.
