Egyptian Graduates of Russian, Soviet Universities Marks 70th Anniv. of July Revolution

The Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities is organizing a symposium entitled "The July Revolution.. 70 years and the Soviet Union".

The symposium focuses on the cooperation between Egypt and the Soviet Union and the achievements that occurred during that period.

The event will be held on Thursday, July 21 at the Russian Cultural Center’s headquarters in Dokki.

It is open to the public and will take place at 7:00 PM (Cairo local time).

The symposium will be moderated by Sherif Gad, President of the Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities.

Among the speakers at the symposium are Dr. Magdy Zaabal, president of the Egyptian-Uzbek Friendship Association, historian and journalist Mohamed El-Shafei, Dr. Fathy Toghan, Secretary General of the Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities, and Ahmed Hussein, from the July 23 Forum.

Murad Gatin, director of the Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt, and engineer Abdul Hakim Gamal Abdel Nasser are set to attend the event.

"The July 23 Revolution is a turning point in Egyptian history, as it made strong changes in the history of the nation," Gatin said in a statement on Monday.

He stressed the opening of the doors of the Russian House in Cairo and his constant welcome to the activities of the Association.
