Russian Cultural Week in Cairo, Alex to Conclude on Thursday

The activities of the Russian Cultural week will end this Thursday, January 27, in Cairo and Alexandria.

They will be finalized in Cairo at the Tchaikovsky Theater at the Russian House with the participation of the accordion performances' by Russian world Champions Rinat Valeev and Petr Mazurik  in addition to a performance by Russian Folk Music ensemble Bylina.

It is worthy to mention that the activities of the Russian Cultural Week kicked off last Thursday with a musical show by Radoset, and another folk music performance conducted by Vycherinka band.

The activities also included children's shows by several performances such as "Big Secret," "The Elephant and the Bird," by different troupes such as Nijinsky Theater for Young Audience that performed “At Forcout, the Cat.”

Moreover, the Malina band performed an impressive musical show, Spring, Utrada and Tournai bands.

"North in Tobol" exhibition was also organized on the sidelines of the cultural week by the Museum of Nature and Archaeology, and another exhibition by Russian artist Reshev.

On his side, Murad Gatin, the Director of the Russian Cultural Centers in Egypt said that Russian artists were pleased with the warm welcoming they received from the Egyptian audience which reflects Egyptians' interest in the Russian culture.

Moreover, the Head of the Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities Sherif Gad expressed that all association's members enjoyed the performances and recalled the memories of studying in Russia.
