The Minister of Public Business Sector Hisham Tawfik said that the Delta Steel Company, one of the oldest companies in the Arab world, has been developed and increased its productivity to 500 thousand tons.
"After the company was producing 46 thousand tons of equipment going to the railways and the subway, it produces 500 thousand tons," Tawfik added, pointing out that the company was losing from EGP 60 to 90 million, and the condition of the workers was very sorrowful.
He explained, during his statement before the House of Representatives headed by Hanafi Gabali, that 30 feddans were deducted from the company within the framework of the development and modernization plan, adding that the machinery and equipment were modernized.
He emphasized that this development would achieve great benefits for the company, which would indirectly benefit the workers.
In a related context, he said: We have developed the name of the Misr Tourism Company to face competition with the private sector. He pointed out that there has been a complete change in the board of directors and there is now a platform for inpiduals to sell tourism services easily.
Tawfik said, "The aim is to provide tourist destinations at the lowest cost and best service, and to target Egyptian users, not only foreigners."
