Tamer Ashour, Miss Universe Breaks Off Engagement

Superstar, Tamer Ashour, and 2019 Miss ُEgypt, Candidate to 'Miss Universe', Darine Helmy have called off their engagement.

"Praise be to the Lord of all worlds. I have called off my engagement to Darine Helmy, I wish her all the best," he announced on Twitter.

The former couple got engaged in a private family ceremony, on September 12, amid the attendee of their parents, family, and friends.

The couple was set to hold their wedding party at the end of the year.

Ashour, born on January 2, 1984, is an Egyptian singer and composer.  He began his career as a composer working with major contemporary artists.

He released his album Sa’ab (Difficult) in 2006, which included material he’d recorded prior to 2006 as well as new music.

At the beginning of 2011, Ashour released single "Lia Nazra", which achieved huge success both in the cassette sales and on the internet.

In the same year, he began military service. Once he had finished military service he began working on his fourth album, at the end of 2013.

He released more than 17 songs and 5 albums, from 2004 to 2011.

He is known for singing “Zikrayat Kaddaba”, “Ekhtarna Leh”, “Thania Wahda”, and “Enta Ekhtart”.

Ashour’s latest artistic work is album “Ayam” (Days), which consists of 12 songs.

In 2018, the performer separated from his wife, Samar Abu Shaka, after a six-month marriage, in a celebration attended by a large number of friends from inside and outside the industry.

The porce was as a result of differences between them.
