Syria: Four Soldiers Killed, Other Injured in Israeli Strike near Damascus

Syrian TV reported Monday that 4 soldiers were killed and four others were injured, as a result of an Israeli aggression that targeted some points in the vicinity of the capital Damascus.

The TV quoted a military source as saying: "At around 2:20 am today, the Israeli enemy carried out an air attack from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting some points in the vicinity of Damascus."

The source added, "Our air defenses intercepted the aggression's missiles and shot down some of them, while others led to the death of four soldiers, the wounding of four others, and some material losses."

Earlier, Israeli sources reported that a missile launched from Syria landed in the occupied Syrian Golan.

The Israeli media reported that a missile fired by the Syrian air defenses exploded in the sky of the occupied Golan, coinciding with the Israeli raid on the vicinity of Damascus.

Local Syrian sources reported that the Syrian air defense systems were activated against an Israeli air strike.
