Swedish Defense Minister Peter Hultqvist announced that Sweden will send a new package of military aid to Ukraine valued at $199 million.
This aid primarily includes ammunition and spare parts for systems previously sent.
Hultqvist stated in a press release, as reported by the Ukrainian news agency "Interfax Ukraine" on Friday, that the Swedish government has requested its armed forces to study the possibility of sending Jas Gripen fighters to Ukraine.
It is worth noting that this new package of aid marks the fourteenth since the beginning of the Russian military operation in Ukraine.
Sweden's total assistance to Ukraine has now reached $2 billion.
Sweden's decision to send military aid to Ukraine underscores the ongoing support of various countries for Ukraine in its efforts to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The conflict in Ukraine has continued for several years, and international assistance remains vital to its resolution and the well-being of the Ukrainian people.
