Supply Ministry Starts Receiving Complaints from Suspended Ration Card Holders

The Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade has opened the door to submit complaints and documents for citizens whose ration card has been suspended as a result of their high salaries or their possession of a modern car.

A decision signed by Ali el-Moselhi, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade indicated that as a result of the increase in the number of complaints related to the suspension of ration cards due to their high salaries or owning a modern car model 2018 or more, the door to submit grievances is opened to facilitate on the citizens.

The decision clarified that complaints are collected through the supply offices and submitted to the director of the directorate, who sends them to the ministry's general office.

Meantime,The Egyptian Assistant Minister of Supply Ibrahim Ashmawi announced that the state bears 70 piastres for each loaf of bread that the citizen buys daily.

He pointed out that the cost of a loaf of bread is expected to rise due to the price increases that the world is witnessing.

Ashmawy added, during his speech at one of the economic forums that a loaf of bread is sold for 5 piastres, and its cost reaches 75 piastres, and the state bears the price increase difference.

Ibrahim Ashmawy added that the ration bakeries, which number up to 30,000 bakeries, produce 275 million loaves of bread per day, meaning that the state bears approximately EGP 275 million pounds per day, the difference in price increases.
