Supply Ministry Postpones Collection of Dues from Bakeries during Ramadan

Ali Al-Moselhi, Minister of Supply issued a ministerial directive to postpone the collection of dues and installments from municipal bakeries during the holy month of Ramadan until the end of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr.

Al-Moselhi stressed that the directive comes from the ministry’s keenness on the necessity of providing subsidized bread to citizens and to facilitate the owners of bakeries in light of the current conditions that the country is going through during the current period, and the advent of the month of Ramadan. Eid al-Fitr, and towards the end of the school year.

On his part, Ahmed Kamal, assistant minister and official spokesman for the ministry confirmed that stressed the directorates are obliged to follow up on bakeries and their commitment to the opening hours set for them in Ramadan.

Kamal indicated that the ministry provided 3 days of flour for each bakery, stressing that the opening times for bakeries in Ramadan start from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and there are some bakeries that will open their doors to the citizen in the evening to provide bread for "Suhur".
