Supply Minister: EGP 2 million Fine for Bakeries Not Announcing Bread Prices

Minister of Trade and Supply Ali el-Moselhi said that the prices of unsubsidized bread will be restored to its original prices set before the Russian-Ukrainian crises, upon directives from the Egyptian president to contain inflation.

El-Moselhi added that the government will set a committee to price of wheat supplied to the private sector every three months, which will be obliged to announce its prices.

Th minister pointed out the ministry will follow-up activities of private bakeries, noting that any bakery, which will not announce the prices of unsubsidized break will be exposed to fine of EGP 2 million.
