Sudan Abolishes Act of Boycotting Israel

Minister of Justice in Sudan Nasr El-Din Abdel Barry, announced today, Monday, that his country has abolished the Act of Boycotting Israel ratified in 1958.

The minister tweeted that the Sudanese Council of Ministers and the Council of Sovereignty have just passed a bill of boycotting Israel.

The two councils also passed the bill of adopting the Dual Financial System, the Bill of Investment, and the Bill of Partnership between the private and Public sectors.

It is worth noting, that the Sudanese Cabinet declared on April 4 the annulment of the Act of Boycotting Israel.

The Sudanese Cabinet stresses the formidable stance of the country toward g the Palestinian state within the frame of the two-state solution.

It is worth noting that the Act of Boycotting Israel affirms the whole boycotting of the Hebrew State.

The act banned anybody from contracting in person or on behalf of others who reside in Israel or with who works for it.

On the thirteenth of April, two sources affirmed that Sudan intends to dispatch the first official delegation to Israel next week to strengthen the bilateral relations established last year by US mediation.

One of the two sources who spoke on anonymity said the Sudanese delegation will comprise officials of security and intelligence agencies.

He went to say that the date of the visit will be defined later.

Sudan joins the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, and Morocco that approved to normalize ties with Israel in 2020.

The Joe Biden administration pledged to continue the efforts of its predecessor to encourage other Arab countries to normalize relations with Tel Aviv.

On his part, Eli Cohen, Minister of Intelligence Services in Israel welcomed last Tuesday, the decision of the Sudanese to abolish the Act of Boycotting Israel.

Cohen, who led an Israeli delegation that has recently Sudan, said that the decision of the Sudanese ministerial council is an important and necessary step ahead of signing the treaty of peace between Sudan and Israel.
