Luis Suarez scored twice as Inter Miami came from behind to defeat the Chicago Fire 3-2 on Wednesday, spoiling Robert Lewandowski's Major League Soccer debut and extending the Herons' winning streak to five league matches.
With Lionel Messi and Rodrigo De Paul unavailable following Argentina's World Cup campaign, and new signing Casemiro not yet ready to make his debut, Miami relied on Suarez to lead the attack at Nu Stadium.
Chicago took the lead in the 18th minute through a bizarre own goal by Inter Miami goalkeeper Rocco Rios Novo, who failed to control a routine back pass and inadvertently sent the ball into his own net.

The hosts responded nine minutes later when David Ruiz won a penalty after being fouled by Jack Elliott inside the box. Suarez calmly converted from the spot to level the score.
The Uruguayan striker put Miami ahead six minutes into the second half after combining brilliantly with German Berterame before finishing a flowing team move.
Chicago fought back as substitute Puso Dithejane equalized, but Inter Miami secured all three points in the 87th minute.
Chris Brady parried Suarez's shot into the path of Preston Plambeck, who converted the rebound to seal the victory.
Lewandowski made his first MLS appearance for Chicago Fire but had a quiet outing, registering just one shot and four touches inside Miami's penalty area before being substituted after 62 minutes.
Suarez was the standout performer, finishing with two goals while playing a key role in all three of Miami's strikes. He also led the match with five shots, including three on target.
The victory lifted Inter Miami to second place in the overall MLS standings, while continuing the high-scoring trend between the two clubs, with five of their 11 meetings now producing at least five goals.
