Stock Exchange, Banks to Take Official Leave on June 30

The Egyptian Stock Exchange decided that Thursday, June 30 will be an official holiday on the occasion of the anniversary of the June 30 revolution, and that work on the Egyptian Stock Exchange will resume on Sunday, July 3.

The EGX board also announced the implementation of a deal through the BLOCK TRADING mechanism on 13 million shares of Pioneers Properties for Urban Development (PREDCO) at a value of EGP 22.9 million.

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) also announced the suspension of work in banks in the same days.

The bank stated in a statement that the disruption of work in banks comes on the occasion of the anniversary of the June 30 revolution.

The bank also stated that it will resume work on Sunday morning, July 3.
