Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez stressed the importance of moving forward toward a comprehensive political solution to the Palestinian issue, emphasizing his country's support for the proposed opportunity to hold a peace conference in New York as the only path to achieving a just and lasting peace.

During his speech at the Arab Summit, he said that achieving this goal inevitably requires the implementation of the two-state solution, which begins with the recognition of the State of Palestine.

He noted that France has called for the launch of an international forum to discuss the Palestinian issue and advance the two-state solution, emphasizing that the success of this process requires Arab and European consensus, as well as joint action to unify the efforts of the international community.

He explained that Spain's fourth priority is to strengthen dialogue between European countries and the Arab and Islamic worlds, noting that cooperation between the European Union and the League of Arab States would constitute an unparalleled driving force in confronting regional challenges.

He stressed the need to ensure that international rules are applied equally to all parties, without ambiguity or double standards. He emphasized that the harsh conditions facing the international system portend a prolonged series of conflicts.

He noted that Spain will continue its commitment to multilateralism and will remain a reliable partner in supporting the multilateral international system as the only way to achieve peace in the Middle East.
