Spain continued its celebrations after winning the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as the newly crowned champions returned home to a spectacular welcome from thousands of supporters in the streets of Madrid.

La Roja secured their second World Cup title after defeating defending champions Argentina 1-0 after extra time in Sunday's final at New York New Jersey Stadium, with Ferran Torres scoring the decisive goal in the 106th minute.

The team's homecoming began with an official reception by King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, who welcomed the players alongside Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía.

The squad later met Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez at the Moncloa Palace before joining the public celebrations across the capital.

Spain's players then boarded an open-top bus for a victory parade through Madrid, where massive crowds gathered to celebrate the historic achievement.

The squad waved to supporters, posed for photos and proudly displayed the FIFA World Cup trophy as fans packed the city's main streets.

The parade traveled through several of Madrid's most iconic avenues before reaching Plaza de Cibeles, where the main celebration took place.

Thousands of supporters filled the famous square, creating a festive atmosphere with chants, flags and songs as they celebrated Spain's return to the top of world football.

The celebrations marked the end of a remarkable World Cup campaign for Luis de la Fuente's side, who lifted football's biggest prize for the first time since their historic triumph at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.
