Sisi urges officials to make utmost use of solid waste recycling

CAIRO, July 31st (SEE) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed officials to make the utmost use of solid waste recycling, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said on Tuesday. 

Sisi made the remarks during his meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Local Development Minister Mahmoud Shaarawi and Environment Minister Yassmin Fouad, MENA news agency reported.

"The meeting touched on the national plan for solid waste recycling and management, as well as means of overcoming challenges facing this sector," Rady noted, adding that the president said "the national plan should improve the health and environmental statuses of the citizens nationwide."

During the meeting, Sisi ordered delivering drinking water to the poor villages throughout the nation and benefiting from huge investments and projects implemented by the state in this vital sector.

The president also ordered reconsidering administrative procedures of quarries in order to make use of them at all levels.
