Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s rejection of any attack on the sovereignty or territorial integrity of Gulf states during a phone call with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday.
According to the Egyptian presidency, the call focused on ongoing efforts to reach a memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran amid continued regional tensions.

The Egyptian president also referred to his recent participation in a joint phone call involving US President Donald Trump and several Arab and regional leaders, reiterating Egypt’s longstanding position in favour of peaceful solutions to regional crises.
El-Sisi stressed Egypt’s categorical rejection of any threats targeting the sovereignty, security or territorial integrity of Gulf countries, while underscoring the importance of flexibility, avoiding miscalculations and giving diplomacy sufficient opportunity to succeed.
