Sisi Ratifies Egypt-Greece Maritime Demarcation Deal

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi ratified, on Saturday, the maritime demarcation deal between Egypt and Greece, establishing an exclusive economic zone between the two countries.

The deal was signed on August 6 and went into force last September 2, by the decision of the Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.

The president's ratification came after the approval of the parliament and the cabinet.

The decree has been published in the official gazette.

It is worth mentioning that, the maritime demarcation deal aims to enhance the prospects for joint economic cooperation and meet the aspirations of the countries’ peoples for further progress and prosperity.
