President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Lebanese President Joseph Aoun today, Monday, to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral relations and consult on efforts to restore regional stability.
Sisi welcomed President Aoun and his accompanying delegation as dear guests in their second home, Egypt.
He emphasized that the visit carries special symbolic significance, reflecting the deep-rooted historic ties between the two countries.
Egypt and Lebanon, he noted, have long exemplified a true model of brotherhood.
In his remarks during a joint press conference held at Al-Ittihadiya Palace following their talks, Sisi described the discussions as a valuable opportunity to exchange views on enhancing cooperation, particularly in the trade and economic sectors.
He also reaffirmed Egypt's unwavering position in supporting Lebanon and strongly condemned Israel's repeated violations and occupation of Lebanese territories.
He stressed the urgent need for Israel to immediately withdraw from all Lebanese lands.
