Two military aircraft carrying food aid took off today, Tuesday on their way to Sudan.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, directed concerned officials to dispatch these planes within the framework of the continued Egyptian support and solidarity with the brotherly Sudanese people in various crises and tribulations.
The two military transport planes took off from East Cairo Air Base bound for Khartoum International Airport in the Republic of Sudan, loaded with large quantities of food aid to the Republic of Sudan, to contribute to relieving the burdens on the shoulders of Sudanese citizens.
On their part, Sudanese officials praised the efforts made by the Arab Republic of Egypt to provide support to the people of the African continent, expressing full appreciation and thanks to the Egyptian political leadership for its continuous efforts to overcome all the hardships faced by the brotherly Sudanese people.
This aid comes as an affirmation of the depth of the historical ties and bonds that link Egypt and brotherly Sudan, which base on Egypt's pioneering role towards the countries of the African continent in times of adversity and crisis.
