Sisi Chairs Supreme Council of Armed Forces Meeting on October Victory Anniversary

​President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, chaired a meeting of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces at its military headquarters. 

The meeting was held as part of Egypt and the Armed Forces' celebrations for the 52nd anniversary of the glorious October victory.

​Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, official Presidential spokesperson, stated that President Sisi began the meeting by extending his congratulations to the great Egyptian people and the brave men of the Armed Forces on the occasion of the glorious October victories. 

He praised the Armed Forces' efforts in supporting the pillars of security and stability across all strategic directions. 

The meeting also addressed several issues in light of the current international and regional changes and their relevance to Egyptian national security.

​The spokesperson added that General Abdel-Meguid Sakr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, reviewed a number of topics related to the Armed Forces' duties, their role in protecting the country's borders, and their cooperation with all ministries and institutions to support the sustainable development plans being implemented by the Egyptian state in all fields.

​At the conclusion of the meeting, the spokesperson mentioned that President Sisi paid tribute to the souls of the nation's righteous martyrs.

 He affirmed that the spirit of the October victory will remain ingrained in the conscience of the Egyptian people for generations to come. 

Moreover, he stressed that the prosperity the nation enjoys would not have been possible without the sacrifices of the heroes of the Crossing, who with their selflessness wrote the highest examples of sacrifice for the sake of the nation's honor and dignity.
