President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized that the efficiency and readiness of Egypt’s security institutions are a fundamental pillar for safeguarding the country’s security and stability, stressing that these institutions are state bodies—not militias—and will always remain a source of stability for the Egyptian state.
Speaking during his address at the 74th Police Day celebration, President El-Sisi warned against the dangers of replacing state institutions with militias, noting that countries which followed such paths ultimately faced destruction and collapse.
“These are not militias. These are state institutions that will always remain a source of stability and security for Egypt,” the President said. “Countries that relied on militias—those militias became, in one way or another, the reason for the destruction of those states. No one protected them.”
President El-Sisi stressed that Egypt’s protection ultimately comes from God, while Egyptians are responsible for taking all necessary measures to safeguard their country. “What protected Egypt—and I say this every time—was God’s will. God preserved and protected this country, and we, as Egyptians, must always take the necessary steps,” he said.
The President also highlighted the importance of collective awareness, particularly among younger generations who did not witness the events of 2011 or fully understand their consequences. He called on those who lived through that period to play an active role in educating and protecting Egypt’s youth from misinformation and manipulation, especially in the digital age.
El-Sisi warned that advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, can be used to fabricate false scenes and narratives that may fuel confusion and instability. He emphasized that confronting such challenges is not solely a security responsibility but a shared national duty.
