Egyptian singer Nehal Nabil tied the knot with fiancé engineer Marwan Fadi on Friday in a low-key ceremony.

The couple signed the ‘aqd qiran’ — an Islamic marriage contract that is considered an integral part of an Islamic marriage and outlines the rights and responsibilities of the groom and bride or other parties involved in marriage proceedings under Shariah — in a ceremony limited to their families and friends.

The starry guests who were present included singers Heidi Moussa and Ghada Ragab.

In 2020, Nabil and Fadi got engaged in a simple celebration limited to their families.

Nabil, who is also a frequent writer and director, is the sister of distributor Khaled Nabil. The singer’s artistic career launched between 2003 and 2004, when she participated in the Tarab department in the program "Studio El Fan", where she earned the silver medal, then she participated in the layali el television concerts alongside many great singers such as Angham and Hamada Helal.

Nabil is known for performing the theme song of Hanan Turk’s 2005 TV series “Tafaseel Hayaty” (My Life Details), “Barkouli Aleih” (Congratulate Me for Him) and many other songs listened to by hundreds of thousands.

She is also known for collaborations with star actor Ahmed Mekky in various songs such as “Shokran Mama”. Nabil also directed Syrian megastar Assala Nasri’s music video “Shamekh”.
