Shoukry, Hungarian Counterpart Sign 2 Cooperation Agreements

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Hungarian counterpart Peter Ciarto signed two memoranda of understanding for cooperation in the fields of oil and gas and between the institutes of diplomatic studies in both countries.

The agreement was conducted within the framework of strengthening relations between Egypt and Hungary.

Shoukry assured In a joint press conference at the Foreign Ministry's headquarters that Hungary contributes to pushing the European Union to understand the challenges Egypt is currently facing.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs revealed that he also discussed with his counterpart the current  coronavirus situation in the two countries and the efforts made to combat the pandemic.

For his part, the Hungarian Foreign Minister stated that Hungary's security is linked to the security of North Africa, and Egypt is the most important country in that region.
