Egypt's Foreign Minister (FM) Sameh Shoukry made a phone call with his Turkish counterpart Halan Fidan, Foreign ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said.
During the call, Shoukry congratulated his Turkish counterpart on assuming his duties, wishing him success.
Moreover,hEgypt's top diplomate expressed his aspirations to work collaboratively in order to advance the development of bilateral relations between both countries
Furthermore, both officials discussed various areas of mutual interest, including bilateral cooperation, exchange of visits at different levels, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest.
For his part, Turkish FM expressed gratitude to his Egyptian counterpart for initiating contact, underlining the importance of progress in the restoration of full relations between Cairo and Ankara.
He also emphasized the importance of working together to enhance understanding and pursue common interests, in order to serve the best interests of both the Egyptian and Turkish peoples.
