Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Saturday inaugurated the Sharm el-Sheikh Museum.

Sisi inspected the museum’s halls accompanied by the Tourism and Antiquities Minister Dr. Khaled El-Anany.

The museum's opening supports the Tourism ministry policy of integrating beach tourism with cultural tourism, through enjoying the picturesque beaches of the city and practicing fun water sports in the morning.

Visiting the museum at night enable visitors to learn about ancient Egyptian civilization.

Moreover, the museum displays about 5,200 carefully selected artifacts revealing different aspects of Egyptian civilization.

Also, the museum will feature an exhibit on wildlife and for the first time will highlight ancient Egyptian care for various animals, such as birds, reptiles and insects.

Also, the museum displays home items such as beds and dining tables.

In addition, it displays jewelry and ornaments of kings, priests, citizens and peasants would be displayed, as well as cosmetics would be shown through a collection of wigs and other items.

The museum is open all days from 10 am to 1 pm in the morning and from 5 pm to 11 pm.

Noteworthy, the construction work began in Sharm El-Sheikh Museum in 2006 but stopped in 2009, the work resumed early this year with a budget of LE300 million.
