"SEE" meets Science Advisor at German embassy

"SEE" conducted an interview with Philippe Maupai, Head of Science Department and Protocol at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany Cairo to identify his new plans

Maupai said that he plans to focus on making greater cooperation between Egypt and Germany in the education field. He hopes to visit many Egyptian Scientific institutions and Universities to know the number of German students who are coming to study in Egypt and how to encourage Egyptian students to study in Germany.

Maupai added that he has connections with many presidents of Egyptian universities and he will pay a visit to Cairo University and Al-Azhar University to get familiar with Egypt's education system. Also, he aims to do a lot of efforts to cooperate with these Egyptian universities.

He expressed his appreciation for German University in Cairo, saying that it is one of the best universities, which has an excellent positive educational environment. Today, Egypt has a global university that can play an effective role in promoting relations between Egypt and Germany.

Maupai stressed that the establishment of international universities in Egypt is a good idea. This will encourage foreign students to come and a lot of exchanges in experience between Egypt and other countries will be done.

"I am very happy for this successful experiment and thank the president of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who has taken this important decision to make significant changes in Egyptian education system. We encourage further efforts to meet the objectives and address challenges" he said.

He indicated that Egypt has conducive environment to attractive foreign students to study in its universities. "It is a very interesting country and has many facilities for international people" he added. "The relationships between Egypt and Germany are good and there will be a lot of cooperation between them in the future."

"I am working to launch different educational programmes in Egypt," Maupai added, saying that the number of scholarships will be increased for Egyptian students to study in Germany."
