English actor and martial artist Scott Adkins is set to star in Veteran Egyptian actor Mahmoud Hemida's new film “Matrah Matruh".
It also stars, Karim Afifi, Laila Ahmed Zaher, Shaima Seif, and others.
The film is a comedy genre set in 1940. It is written by Mohamed Ezz and directed by Wael Ihsan.
This will be the second time Adkins stars in an Egyptian film after he appeared for the first time in the 2018 film "Harb Karmouz" (Karmouz War) starring Hemida and Amir Karara.
He played an English man who was imprisoned and was used in the war against the Egyptian officer and his colleagues.
Adkins is best known for playing Boyka in "Undisputed II: Last Man Standing" and "Undisputed III: Redemption" Bradley Hume in "Holby City", and Ed Russell in "Mile High".
He is also known for his roles in the movies "The Legend of Hercules", "Wolf Warrior",and "Ip Man 4: The Finale".
Adkins also appeared in high-profile project such as "The Bourne Ultimatum" and "Zero Dark Thirty", as well as the Marvel movies "Mutant X", "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", and "Doctor Strange".
He also collaborated with Jean-Claude Van Damme in the movies "The Shepherd: Border Patrol"," Assassination Games"," Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning", and "The Expendables 2."
