SCA: Ever Given Ship Leaves Egypt after Paying Compensation

On Wednesday, the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) announced that Ever Given paid the compansion requested by the authority after signing the deal of compansion.

So, the authorities allowed the Ever Given ship to leave the Suez Canal after being blocked by Egyptian Court until reaching a deal.

It is worthy to note that the ship disturbed the navigation at the canal for more than a week.

Egypt requested more than $ 916 million after disturbing the world trade before it was lowered to $ 550 million.

The final settlement between the SCA and the operating firm of the giant vessel was signed today. Therefore, the Ismailia Economic Court lifted its orders against the ship to preparing its release.

It will continue its long-waited journey to Rotterdam after being in Egypt for more than three months.
