The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed concern over the ongoing fighting in Sudan and the escalation of violence affecting civilians, including women and children.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, the ministry condemned recent incidents in the eastern part of Al-Jazira State, which led to casualties and injuries among civilians, describing it as a violation of international law and the principle of civilian protection.
Saudi Arabia urged commitment to the Jeddah Declaration, signed on May 11 of last year, and called on warring parties to cease fire, end the conflict, and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to those affected.
The Kingdom reiterated its steadfast position in supporting Sudan’s stability, preserving its legitimate institutions, sovereignty, and independence, emphasizing that a political solution is the only path to ending the crisis in Sudan.
