Liverpool's star Mohamed Salah has suffered an ankle problem during the Reds' 2-1 victory over Tottenham in the Premier League.

Salah was replaced by Joe Gomez in the 85th minute of the game, which was held at Anfield in the tenth round of the Premier League. On his part, Liverpool's head coach Jurgen Klopp affirmed that Mo Salah's injury was not serious.

“Mo is the same ankle [he injured earlier this month], it just gets sore the longer the game goes on," Klopp said, according to Liverpool's official website.

“It’s not a massive issue, that will disappear one day, but it’s still a bit there at the moment,” the German coach added.

Noteworthy, Liverpool rebounded after suffering an early goal against Tottenham to claim a 2-1 victory, regaining their 6 point lead against Manchester City in the English Premier League on Saturday. Salah led his team to achieve today's victory over Tottenham after scoring the crucial deciding penalty.

Liverpool returns to Anfield on Wednesday evening when they face Arsenal in the EFL Cup, while Tottenham has a week to prepare for a trip to Goodison Park to face Everton on Sunday.

Salah showed up in the Premier league for the first time since the Reds' 2-1 victory over Leicester City when he suffered a serious injury and replaced by Adam Lallana.
