Liverpool rebounded after suffering an early goal against Tottenham to claim a 2-1 victory, regaining their 6 point lead against Manchester City in the English Premier League on Saturday.

The match started with a fast attacking pace from both sides. Tottenham scored the first goal of the match in the 12th minute, afterSon cut inside Henderson, onto his right foot, and whacked a 20-yard shot that took a big deflection off the head of Lovren and flew onto the near post. It rebounded to Kane, who stooped to steer a header wide of Alisson from eight yards.

10 minutes later, Tottenham almost scored their second goal of the match after Kane’s cushioned volley is just too far in front of Alli, who would have had an open goal.

Liverpool rebounded in the 27th minute, but Tottenham goalkeeper Gazzaniga made a vital double save. He stretched a long way to his left to flap away Salah’s rising drive from the edge of the area, then got to his feet quickly to block Firmino’s follow-up.

Henderson equalized the scoring for the Reds in the 54th minute after receiving the ball from the far right, blasting the ball into the net of Tottenham.

Liverpool won a much-needed penalty in the 74th minute after Aurier kicked Mane's leg inside the penalty box. Salah then proceeded to score the penalty after placing in greatly giving his team the lead.

Unfortunately, Liverpool Ace Salah had to leave the pitch in the 85th minute due to his injury resurfacing.

Liverpool returns to Anfield on Wednesday evening when they face Arsenal in the EFL Cup, while Tottenham has a week to prepare for a trip to Goodison Park to face Everton on Sunday.
