As 2019 heads towards a close, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been chosen among the 50 greatest players in the Premier League over the last decade.

Mo Salah was present in the Fifty-player shortlist, alongside other prominent players such as Sergio Aguero, César Azpilicueta, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Fernandinho, Kevin De Bruyne, David de Gea, Bernardo Silva, and many other players, according to the Mirror report.

The iconic Egyptian star came in the 16th position of the list, as the British newspaper summed up the seasons, which he spent with Chelsea and Liverpool in the Premier League.

Mo Salah is the only Premier League player, who managed to net thirty-two goals during his first season with the Reds.

"Nobody in 38-games-a-season Premier League history has scored more goals than the 32 that the Egyptian notched in his first season with Liverpool when he picked up the first of back-to-back Golden Boots," Mirror reported.

Manchester City forward Aguero topped the list due to his illustrious and effective performance over the last ten years with his club.

"The scorer of a record 172 Premier League goals across the last 10 years, the Argentinean is certainly responsible for the most dramatic moment of the era as he clinched the first of four league titles for Manchester City in the decade," the British newspaper added.

Aguero, who joined Man City in the 2011-12 season, coming from Athletico Madrid, netted 172 goals and claimed four Premier League trophies.

Noteworthy, Salah scooped on Tuesday, October 8 Liverpool‘s goal of the month award for September due to his sublime strike in the Reds’ 3-1 victory over Newcastle United.

On Thursday, October 10, FIFA revealed that Mo will take part in FIFA’s Museum exhibition in Zurich until 5 January 2020.

On its official Twitter account, the FIFA Museum praised the Egyptian star and described him as “a better human being than he is a football player. And he’s one of the best football players in the world."
